Red Dead Redemption to western, the previous part of which is Red Dead Revolver and was released in 2004. The second part of the series is not a continuation but a separate story unfolding in a completely different period. Rockstar San Diego is responsible for the game and has been released for the X360 and PS3 consoles, but has also been converted to a Windows PC.
